My first month of school was pretty good. I thought it was going to be horrible but I like this school now. I know that it is a good school. Now I feel that I can trust this school to do what is best for me. The teachers are all cool and I feel that I have learned a lot in just the first month. I dont know if I have earned the trust of the teachers and principals in this school but I hope I have. They are all very nice and helpful.

Yay! Today is Friday. My favorite day of the week because I could go to sleep late and wake up late tomorrow. This weekend I think I will just relax. There is nothing to do.

The article Chartering a Course Past Gang Life is about 4 students from Animo Inglewood who lived in a bad neighborhood with very bad influences, gangs. The students began a "clique" that got them into trouble that eventually got one of them shot. After this, they decided to end the clique and focus on their studies. They have graduated and are now going to Cal- State Northridge. My life experience is different to this because I did not grow up in a neighborhood filled with gangs. I will keep getting good grades and I will stay out of trouble in order to go to college. From these students I learned that you have to stay out of trouble.

Im 14 years old and Im a freshman. Something that fancies me is listening to music. I love listening to music. Another thing that I like to do is hanging out with my friends. I also love going to the movies and watching television. I like to read interesting books. I also like to go on the internet. I enjoy going to amusement parks like Six Flags and Knotts Berry Farm.

This first week in Mr. Hsu's class, I learned how to use macromedia flash. I learned how to make my name into a movie.

In my Ethnic studies class, I learned more about Martin Luther King and civil rights. I also learned about all the topics that I will be covering in my environmental science class, such as bio and chemistry.

How I feel about high school at this point, is excited. I know I will have to work hard but I know that I will learn a lot.

To get through high school, I will have to trust Animo and speak out if Im having trouble.
